The Greatest Guitarists Of The 20th Century
The guitar is now a truly iconic instrument in the music industry. It stands for rebellion, for revolution, for youth, angst… so many things. On the other hand, it has also been the vehicle through which tormented lovers convey their suffering through sweet melodies, and hopefully win over their lovers’ hearts.

Through this century, there have been some incredibly talented guitar stalwarts, in several genres and several styles.
First among them one must count the historic Jimi Hendrix. Hendrix, born in 1942, has become one of the greatest influences and enigmas in rock music. In 1967, he performed at Monterey Pop Festival in USA, which catapulted him to instant celebrity status. Hendrix started a revolution in rock and jazz music, and his name is now part of the USA Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the UK Music Hall of Fame.
Another icon who started out as a blues guitarist and singer-songwriter was BB King. The 2003 Rolling Stone Magazine listed BB King as the Third Greatest Guitarist of All Time. BB King’s greatest hits include “Every Day I have the Blues”, “Whole Lotta Love”, and “Please Accept My Love”. In his memory, the “BB King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center” has been inaugurated in Mississippi in 2008.
Finally(after leaving out at least a dozen names like Robert Johnson, Eric Clapton and the like), who can forget the “magician of the guitar”, Carlos Santana? Santana’s unique, soulful, Mexican guitaring has given rise to immortal hits such as “Black Magic Woman”, “Jingo”, “Oye Como Va”, and “Smooth”. He combines rock, jazz fusion and salsa to create an infectious blend that lingers in the ears long after the music stops.
Apart from an easy entry, there are several other benefits that are associated with the idea of having your name on the list. For instance, if your name is on the guest list, you can actually enjoy some discount. Although you must never think about free entry as most of the nightclubs will ask for a fee but some of the sites will surely help you in saving money.
